Buddha's Enlightment

Canvas size 14” X 18” with specially designed mosaic frame. Medium – Oil with palette knife. After attaining enlightenment, Buddha is believed to have sat under the Banyan Tree to absorb his new found realizations. The background has a textured effect created using actual leaves (of different shapes and sizes) which signifies the realizations applicable in all walks of life.  The mosaic frame depicts the banyan tree as the tree that provides fulfillment of wishes split in three parts - branches and leaves,  the bark and the roots.
